Diocesan Coordinator, Education for Ministry (EfM)
Cheri works to promote the Education for Ministry (EfM) program across the diocese by organizing training events for program mentors, coordinating regional gatherings for past, present, and future participants, and working with parishes around the diocese to introduce and organize EfM groups in their communities.
Cheri’s passion for EfM comes from experiencing the program as participant, mentor, and diocesan coordinator. She believes EfM offers an approach to biblical study and theology that helps participants grow more fully into their baptismal covenant through a greater understanding of how Holy Scripture, written thousands of years ago, speaks so clearly to us today. Cheri understands that Theological Reflection, the heart of the EfM program, brings together all that the participants learn in a way that allows them to see God at work in their daily lives and become more fully engaged in the apostolic work of the church.
Cheri currently attends Christ’s Episcopal Church in Castle Rock were her husband is the Priest-in-Charge. Aside from her full time role as Clergy Home Support, Cheri enjoys leading adult faith formation studies and participating in her parish chapter of The Order of the Daughters of the King®. In her spare time, she enjoys reading mysteries, fly fishing with her hubby, and taking in all the wonders of the Southwest.
