2018 Forma Conference, January 23-28,  Charleston, SC

The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Harvey will lead participants through the theme: Formed for Justice. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, The Most Reverend Michael B. Curry will serve as preacher at the closing Eucharist.

This conference is designed to equip formation leaders, whether lay, ordained, full-time, part-time, or volunteer, to better navigate the racial and social justice issues we face as a church and society. Rev. Dr. Harvey’s groundbreaking book, Dear White Christians, and her upcoming release, Raising White Children, will be the backbone of the time together. The conference will also feature plenaries from other leaders in the justice movements within the Church.

Workshops will deal with the theme of justice, but there will be lots of options for workshops that delve into other topics and interests. This year, workshops are being curated to make sure there are options for every age and formation focus.

The Forma conference is hosted at Grace Cathedral and the Memminger Auditorium in Charleston, SC.
